Material Pre-Treatment

In the current feed industry, the pre-treatment of feed ingredients is receiving increasing attention. With the growing global demand for feed and the tightening supply of feed raw materials, improving the utilization rate of raw materials has become critical. In China, there are certain gaps in both feed protein ingredients and energy ingredients, and some feed ingredients are underutilized. Many large-scale feed companies have dedicated equipment and technical teams for raw material pre-treatment, and the pre-treatment processes are becoming increasingly standardized and refined.

Enzymatic hydrolysis is one of the mainstream pre-treatment technologies. By utilizing the catalytic effect of enzymes, it breaks down large molecules in feed ingredients into smaller molecules, thus improving the nutritional value and digestibility of the feed. Commonly used enzymes in feed production include proteases, amylases, cellulases, β-glucanases, xylanases, and mannanases.
